Pattern: Besom

Besom by Meghan Jones is a colorwork, bottom-up cardigan that is worked in the round and then steeked to create the front opening. The body of the sweater begins with a hem facing at the bottom edge, which is worked back and forth in rows. Once the facing is complete, stitches are added at the center front for the steek and the piece is worked in the round to the underarm, then set aside. The sleeves also are worked in the round to the underarm, beginning with a hem facing. The body and sleeves are joined, and the yoke is worked to the neck with round yoke shaping.
