Pattern: Ivory Spires
Like a marble tower rising above its castle on a lone spit of land by the sea, Ivory Spires flickers with the last breath of the setting sun on its many-paned windows. Carved pillars rich with leaves and scrollwork support the flying buttresses of a once majestic palace and whisper with the echoes of the past. The Ivory Spires shawl by Meghan Jones is worked from the top down with a tab construction. This shawl has three sections, a center triangle flanked by side or wing triangles. When the main body is complete the double-knit edging is continued for a length to pick up the border stitches. The border is worked as a knit on border attached to the live main body stitches and bound off with an attached double-knit edging.
