Cabled ribbing in the round is an interesting way to spice up a plain ribbed cuff on a sock or a sweater. If you choose a cable pattern with small leg multiples and lots of alternating cable legs and purls you get the stretchiness of a ribbed fabric with a lot more visual interest. In this video Mary Beth Temple is using a sock weight yarn and 2.0mm sock needles to demonstrate.
