Diagonal Seed Stitch

There are all sorts of variations on the Seed Stitch, this one is the Diagonal Seed Stitch. Worked on any multiple of 6 stitches, you wind up with a stockinette stitch background fabric with evenly spaced diagonal lines picked out in purls on the right side. Cast on a multiple of 6.

Row 1 (RS): * P1, k5. Rep from * across.
Row 2 (WS): * P4, k1, p1. Rep from * across.
Row 3: * K2, p1, k3. Rep from * across.
Row 4: * P2, k1, p3. Rep from * across.
Row 5: * K4, p1, k1. Rep from * across.
Row 6: * K1, p5. Rep from * across.
Rep Rows 1- 6 for pattern.
