Flag Stitch

The Flag Stitch is a texture stitch, so-called because it gives a triangle pattern that looks a lot like nautical pennants. It is completely reversible and can be worked in any weight yarn with an appropriate needle.
Cast on a multiple of 7 plus 1.

Row 1: * K1, p1, k5. Rep from * across, k1.

Row 2: P1, * p4, k2, p1. Rep from *across.

Row 3: * K1, p3, k3. Rep from * across, k1.

Row 4: P1, * p2, k4, p1. Rep from * across.

Row 5: * K1, p5, k1. Rep from * across, k1.

Row 6: P1, * k6, p1. Rep from * across. Rep Rows 1 - 6 for pattern. Bind off in pattern on a row 6.
