Linen Stitch
Mary Beth TempleLinen Stitch makes a lovely texture that makes the resulting fabric look almost woven. It can be slow to knit, but the result is worth it, especially in a multi-colored yarn.
Cast on an odd number of stitches and remember to slip all stitches purlwise.
Row 1 (RS): Sl1, *yb, k1, yf, sl1. Rep from * across.
Row 2 (WS): P1, *yb, sl1, yf, p1. Rep from * across.
Rep these 2 rows for pattern.
