While it starts out like a ribbing stitch, the Seersucker Stitch is an allover textured pattern that looks like embossed diamonds on the right side of the work. It is a simple 8-row repeat worked on any multiple of 4 sts.

Row 1 – 2: K1, p1.
Row 3: *p1, k3. Rep from * to end.
Row 4:*p3, k1. Rep from * to end.
Rows 5 – 6: K1, p1
Row 7: K2, *p1, k3. Rep from * to last 2 sts, p1, k1.
Row 8: P1 *k1, p3. Rep from * to last 3 sts k1, p2
